White Supremacy and American Christianity
Join Faith in Public Life’s coalition partners for a half-day virtual conference that examines the Christian roots of white supremacy, empowering attendees to root this sinful practice out of our traditions and communities.
Fr. Bryan Massingale, a powerful voice on racial justice and the Catholic Church, will join Robert P. Jones, whose recent book White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity, offers critical historical and present context for the rise of public white supremacy in the U.S. Following a conversation between these two scholars, Pulitzer Prize winning historian Marcia Chatelain will offer a response.
