Rapper 2 Chainz Partners with Rev. Warnock and Civic Organizations to Drive Voters to the Polls
‘Souls to the Polls’ Effort Rallies Black & Brown Voters to Vote Early
ATLANTA, Ga. — On Sunday, October 30th, buses will depart from Morehouse College Massey Leadership Center and the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church to transport more than 300 Georgians to Adamsville Recreational Center for early voting.
Reverend Raphael Warnock, senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz and Nse Ufot, executive director of the New Georgia Project will urge African Americans, Latinos and young Georgians to exercise their sacred and civic right to vote.
“History has proven that traditional Election Day turnouts have trended weak in both Black and Brown communities. We have chosen this last Sunday to pull churches, ordinary citizens, and other community organizations together to participate in advance voting,” said Rev. Raphael Warnock, Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Ebenezer is encouraging its entire congregation to vote early. Early voters will receive a wristband that states: EBENEZER VOTES.
Other partners include: Street Execs., T.R.U., The New Georgia Project, and V-103 FM.
