Prominent Faith Leaders Submit Over 250 Signatures Calling on Mayor Ginther to Fire Columbus Police Deputy Chief Thomas Quinlan

Columbus, OH —  On Monday, February 1st at 11 a.m., prominent faith leaders will join in solidarity with the community who are calling for an end to Thomas Quinlan’s employment with Columbus Division of Police. His contract as Chief of Police included a probationary period ending on February 7, 2021. On Thursday, January 28th we learned that Chief Quinlan was asked to step back to a role as Deputy Chief. This is not what the community and faith leaders are asking for. Faith leaders demand that Thomas Quinlan be terminated.

Following a press conference, faith leaders will enter City Hall to submit the signatures on behalf of the community.

The letter states, “We believe every child of God deserves to be safe and healthy. But the leadership of the Columbus Division of Police has allowed excessive and deadly force against our Black and brown neighbors for too long.”
