On Nat’l Day of Prayer, Florida Lawmakers to Join Clergy in Prayer for Strengthening Families with Paid Family Leave

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. — On Thursday, May 2nd at 9:30 a.m., Florida legislators and faith leaders will share calls to legislative action and hold a prayer circle in the Florida Capitol rotunda in hopes of better outcomes for working families and struggling Floridians during the remaining days of legislative session. With ever-widening income inequality plaguing our state, faith leaders from Tallahassee and Jacksonville will issue pleas for renewed focus, in the closing of legislative session and following recess, on bills like the FAMILY Act (H.B. 393) and others which would strengthen families by promoting economic justice.
