NC Faith and Community Leaders Strategize Next Steps in Fight to Secure Equal Rights for  LGBTQ Communities

Charlotte, NC. —  On Saturday, October 7th at 9 a.m., a new coalition of faith and LGBTQ advocacy groups, the NC Faith Forward Coalition, will mobilize to protect LGBTQ North Carolinians from discrimination.

The gathering will focus on building relationships between communities of faith and LGBTQ people and developing faith-based action plans to work toward an equitable and inclusive North Carolina. This Charlotte gathering is the first of five across the state.

The NC Faith Forward Coalition consists of seven organizations: Believe Out Loud, Equality North Carolina, Faith in Public Life, The Freedom Center for Social Justice, Many Voices: A Black Church Movement for Gay and Transgender Justice, More Light Presbyterians, and the National LGBTQ Task Force.
