National Faith Leader Applauds Supreme Court’s Title VII Ruling

Washington, D.C. — The Supreme Court rebuked the Trump administration’s immoral attempt to permit discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Rev. Jennifer Butler, CEO of Faith in Public Life:

“Amid historic nationwide anti-racism protests and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Court provided good news for the cause of LGBTQ equality today. I truly believe that God rejoices that our country has taken this step forward. My faith teaches that all people, including every member of the LGBTQ community, deserve to be treated with dignity, equality and respect. Now Congress must pass legislation which provides firm non-discrimination protections in all areas, including health care, housing, education and public accommodations.”
