Jacksonville Faith and Community Leaders Deliver Moral Declaration to Sen. Rubio’s Office

Jacksonville, FL – On Thursday, September 20th at 11 a.m., faith leaders and community members will deliver a moral declaration to Senator Marco Rubio’s office to say “no” to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) cuts. A version of the Farm Bill could reduce or eliminate food assistance for over 2 million Americans, including low-income working families, children, seniors, people with disabilities and veterans. Faith leaders and community leaders are calling on Sen. Rubio for leadership to ensure the final version of the Farm Bill not adopt harmful cuts to the SNAP program that were passed in the House version of the bill, which will impact many in Jacksonville and across Florida.
