Interfaith Clergy Hold Prayer Vigil to Honor Victims of Pulse Nightclub, Charleston Church Shootings

Atlanta, Ga. —  On Monday, June 12th at noon, clergy fromOutcry: Interfaith Voices Against Gun Violence and other prominent religious leaders will gather at St. Mark United Methodist Church to honor the victims killed in the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest shooting in American history, as well as those gunned down at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Clergy will offer prayers of compassion and inclusion, and read aloud the names of victims of these tragedies rooted in bigotry. The church will also ring its bells 49 times, alongside houses of worship across the nation, to honor the slain Pulse victims one year after the massacre.
