GA Clergy Hold Prayer Vigil to Commemorate Anniversary of Charleston Massacre, Decry Gun Violence
Atlanta, GA — On Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m., a prominent coalition of interfaith clergy and lay people will convene at Ebenezer Baptist Church to commemorate the lives of nine believers massacred in a Charleston church last year and to call for common sense gun laws in the state of Georgia. The victims of the Charleston shooting were gunned down during Wednesday night Bible study. This service will honor their memory and that of every Georgia resident who has been a victim of gun violence.
