GA Faith Leaders Denounce White Supremacist Rally

NEWNAN, Ga. — On Saturday, April 21st, Neo-Nazis burned a swastika following a white supremacist rally. The rally at Greenville Street Park in Newnan was organized by the white supremacist National Socialist Movement. In light of this development, a local faith leader issued the following statement.

Nadine Winter, resident of Newnan:

“[After] Hitler’s doctrine of racial purity took hold, the world watched as those declared racially impure were transported to concentration camps where they were starved, tortured and met their death at the hands of people who had declared themselves the ‘superior race.’ We must not turn our heads and keep silent as our brothers and sisters are once again targeted because of their race, religion or ethnicity. We must come together to stand up against hate.”
