Florida Leaders to Speak on Child Tax Credit Payments Starting Tomorrow

People Over Profits & Faith in Public Life to Host a Virtual Press Conference with Sean Shaw, Congressman Darren Soto, 

former Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, & Community Leaders

TALLAHASSEE — Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 14th, at 11:30am, People Over Profits (POP) will be hosting a virtual press conference on the new Child Tax Credit featuring POP founder Sean Shaw, Congressman Darren Soto (FL-9), former Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Barbara DeVane of the Florida National Organization for Women, and Pastor John Newman of The Sanctuary at Mount Calvary Church to discuss how Floridians will begin to see payments from this program in their bank accounts on July 15th. 

These speakers from throughout the state will also be highlighting the positive impact that the new Child Tax Credit, which was included in President Biden’s American Rescue Plan, will have on all of Florida’s working families. 

All speakers will be available for questions upon the conclusion of remarks. Former Congresswoman Mucarsel-Powell is also available to answer questions in Spanish.
