Erie Faith Leaders Hold Prayer Vigil to Decry the Immoral Deportation of a Honduran Mother, Son
Erie, PA. — On Friday, May 5th, Erie Benedictines for Peace will hold a prayer vigil to denounce the deportation a Honduran mother and her 5-year-old son this past week. The deportation rose to national prominence after Sen. Bob Casey tweeted to President Trump in a last minute attempt to save the family.
Benedictines for Peace hold vigils at the Federal Building on the First Friday of each month for justice for immigrants. This month, they will pray for the safety of the mother and her son in Honduras and for our government to stop inhumane deportations that put families in danger.
