Community and Faith Leaders Circle the Statehouse to Demand Early Release of Prisoners Amid COVID-19

Columbus, OH — On Saturday, June 6th at 2 p.m., loved ones of those incarcerated will join faith and community leaders to tear down the walls of division within our government and the prison system. Leaders will caravan around the Columbus statehouse in their cars to call on Governor Mike DeWine to protect life by releasing our loved ones and providing robust care and concern for those who remain inside.

“As we meet again at the statehouse, all entities will unite to bring awareness, build power and move the government to set our people free. We all deserve a chance at life and liberty,” said Teresa Rogers, whose son is imprisoned at Richland Correctional Institution.
