Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant to Meet with Members of Community at Faith Forum
Columbus, Ohio–On Tuesday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m., Faith in Public Life in partnership with Say It Loud Columbus, Columbus Safety Collective, Bishop Donald Washington and Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, will host a faith forum to facilitate a conversation between Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant and people in the community, including those who have been directly harmed by Columbus police.
On June 18, 2021, in a meeting with faith leaders hosted by Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Kee at New Faith Baptist Church in Christ, Chief Bryant committed to hearing directly from the Columbus community about their experiences with excessive force by Columbus police officers. Since Chief Bryant has completed her required training, she is now prepared and available to hear from the community in this faith forum.
