Charlotte Faith and Community Leaders Hold a “New Year Prayer Circle” for Mayor Vi Lyles and City Leaders

CHARLOTTE, NC — On Thursday, January 4th at 11 a.m., diverse group  faith and community leaders will hold a prayer at the Mecklenburg County Government Offices for the newly elected Mayor Vi Lyles and all of the city leaders.

Following a year of social unrest, hate crimes motivated by political division and the lack of economic stability, religious and community leaders will pray for peace, unity and a commitment to inclusion for all of Charlotte’s residents during the first week of 2017.
