Seeking the truth and reckoning with the past is essential to creating a more just future for all of us. However, right now certain politicians and religious voices are attempting to derail these necessary processes, divide us by race for white supremacists’ political gain and force schools to teach our children a whitewashed and dishonest version of history — all by lying about Critical Race Theory. It’s not right, and we must respond with wisdom and moral courage.
