GA Faith Leaders Call on Lawmakers to Reject the Religious Freedom Restoration Act on Religious Freedom Day
ATLANTA, Ga. – On Thursday, January 16th at 1 p.m., a diverse group of clergy and community leaders will hold a press conference at Central Presbyterian Church underscoring the urgent need for lawmakers to reject the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, and boldly call for equal protections for every Georgia resident, including members of the LGBTQ community.
Thursday is National Religious Freedom Day, marked by a presidential proclamation. This is a chance for faith communities to defend this critical freedom from being abused by acting as a cover for discrimination.
