Shelli brings more than three decades of experience in higher education and nonprofit management to Faith in Public Life as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Board Liaison. Serving as the primary point of contact for FPL’s Interim CEO, Jeanné Lewis, to both internal and external organizational stakeholders, Shelli is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the CEO’s office and management of FPL’s Board of Directors.

Having served as chief of staff to two university presidents at both Shepherd and Marymount universities, and in the role of Executive Assistant to the President/CEO and Board Liaison at the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges, Shelli is experienced in managing the workflow of chief executive officers, institutional boards and senior leadership teams in the areas of communication, project management and constituent relationships.

She holds a master’s degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Hood College. A strong advocate for education access and social justice issues, Shelli enjoys contributing to the enhancement of the communities around her in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia where she is often spotted riding her electric scooter with her nine-year-old Yorkiepoo, Cameron.
