Mia Coward serves as Campaigns Manager at  Faith in Public Life.  Prior to joining FPL, Mia worked with the Progressive Policy Institute, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, World Vision US and Child Care Aware of America where she focused on social policy issues like education, childcare, and family outreach. She graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park, where she received her Master’s in Public Policy and has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Bennett College for Women. She is passionate about creating generational wealth, innovation and opportunities for black and brown communities. Mia is proud to be a part of the organizing team at FPL as she helps to advance advocacy with faith communities. Mia is a native of Maryland and spends her spare time reading new books, listening to music and poetry and volunteering with her Young Adult Ministry at her church.
