Adwoa joins Faith in Public Life with nearly 20 years of experience, and is the president of Women of Praize, providing spiritual support for women of color in politics. Prior to joining FPL, she served as Chief Advancement Officer at Sojourners, an ecumenical Christian social justice advocacy organization and award-winning magazine, and as Director of Finance and Development at The Faith & Politics Institute, an organization that advances our democracy by bridging political, racial, and religious divides.

A dedicated public servant with a passion for social justice, Adwoa is an active member of the community and has served in several key roles on Capitol Hill, including special assistant to the vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.). Adwoa is a member of the Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Northern Virginia Chapter.  She serves on the Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services Community Leadership Council, and as a Commissioner on the Fairfax County Transportation Advisory Commission.

Adwoa earned her B.A. in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University and her M.A. in Religious Studies from Howard University School of Divinity. She was awarded the Public Leadership Credential from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a management certificate from Harvard Business School. Adwoa is a graduate of The Campaign School at Yale University
