April: A Sacred Season of Love, Freedom and Justice

For the first time in 30 years, Muslims, Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Baha’is, Hindus, Buddhists and Indigenous nations will observe holidays simultaneously, with celebrations of Ramadan, Passover, Easter, Vaisakhi, Mahavir Jayanti, Theravada New Year and the Gathering of Nations all occurring in April. At the same time we are witnessing a rise of intolerance and discriminatory laws that threaten our nation’s multiracial and multi-faith democracy.

Join us throughout the month of April as we celebrate sacred traditions, reaffirm our commitment to our shared values of love, freedom and justice for all, challenge white Christian nationalists’ attempts to decide what ideas, identities and practices are valued and protected in our nation and commit to protecting our neighbors and building a true multi-faith, multiracial democracy.
