She maintains a strong relationship with churches in South Africa where she has worked for the past decade. She serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Church World Service based in New York City, an organization working on immigration, refugee resettlement and global migration. Patricia lives on a ranch in Sonoma, California, surrounded by vineyards and wild turkeys. She and her husband Sam Keen run a small circus school for trapeze artists and friends.
