Sheena Hutchinson is the Development Associate at Faith in Public Life, where she supports the organization’s fundraising initiatives. Previously, she served as a temporary Grant Manager. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, Sheena is also a certified business and technology teacher. She is deeply committed to leveraging economic solutions to address challenges faced by youth and young adults, while also advocating for senior citizens in Ward 2 of Washington, D.C.

Sheena holds a Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Divinity from Howard University. While at Howard, her research, “Microfinance: The New Storehouse,” was presented at Howard University Research Day. She received the Overall Top Award for Professional Student as well as the Ethics and Religion Professional Student Award for her outstanding work. Her academic achievements have broadened her perspective and fueled her dedication to service, leadership, and global impact. She has contributed to initiatives both locally and internationally, including work in Africa and the Caribbean.

Born and raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut, Sheena proudly embraces her Jamaican heritage. She is an ordained minister, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
