Over 400 Interfaith Clergy Rally Against North Carolina HB 2

Faith leaders demand repeal of discriminatory legislation

Charlotte, NC -- On Thursday at 11 a.m., a prominent and growing coalition of interfaith clergy will convene at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for a press conference opposing HB 2, the highly controversial ‘bathroom bill.’ These faith leaders, including more than 100 clergy from North Carolina, say that HB 2 compromises our nation’s values and are calling for its immediate repeal.

As a community of faith, this coalition stands firmly and morally opposed to House Bill 2. Though they are from diverse faith traditions, these clergy agree on one thing: “House Bill 2 serves only to divide our congregations, our state, and our country.”
