Ohio Nuns on the Bus to Hold Rally in Protest of ICE Detention Center at Butler County Jail

 

Ahead of the March 23rd deadline to pass a federal spending bill, religious leaders are calling on Congress to defund detention centers throughout the nation

 

HAMILTON, OH — On Tuesday, March 20th, at 5:00 p.m., faith leaders led by Ohio Nuns on the Bus will hold a rally at Butler County Jail and to demand humane treatment of our immigrant neighbors. Faith and community leaders are calling on Congress to keep families together by using alternatives to detention.

 

This is the second of three rallies exposing the unjust system of immigration detention. Each day, hundreds of undocumented immigrants are forcibly removed from their families and held as criminals in our local jails and detention centers.

Faith leaders will hold a rally at Butler County Jail and demand humane treatment of our immigrant neighbors.
