Best-Selling Author Sr. Helen Prejean to Headline Discussion on Death Penalty
Columbus, OH -- On Friday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m., faith leaders will meet with and hear from Sr. Helen Prejean, CSJ, author of the best-selling book "Dead Man Walking," will give a presentation as part of her nationwide book tour for her third book, "River of Fire”. Dead Man Walking was made into an academy award-winning film starring Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn.
Sr. Helen Prejean is a tireless advocate for the abolition of the death penalty. Prejean will discuss her new book and share her spiritual journey which led her to a life of helping others. The final page of her new book, River of Fire, is the first page of her first book, Dead Man Walking. Expect candid reflections on bringing light to some of the darkest places in the world, spiced with Cajun humor. Sr. Helen’s books will be available at the event via partnership with Gramercy Books. A reception & book signing will follow the talk.
