Ohio Nuns on the Bus to Hold Rally in Protest of ICE Detention Center at Boone County Jail

 

Religious leaders are calling for a complete defunding of detention centers throughout the nation

 

BURLINGTON, KY — On Monday, March 19th, at 4:00 p.m., faith leaders led by Ohio Nuns on the Bus will hold a rally at Boone County Jail and to demand humane treatment of our immigrant neighbors. Faith and community leaders are calling on Congress to keep families together by using alternatives to detention.

 

This is the first of three rallies exposing the unjust system of immigration detention. Each day, hundreds of undocumented immigrants are forcibly removed from their families and held as criminals in our local jails and detention centers.

 

WHAT:
Faith leaders will hold a four day bus tour exposing the unjust system of immigration detention.
