OH Clergy, Business Leaders Applaud Legislators who Support Working Moms

Faith leaders, senators, doctors, and business owners host a Mother’s Day press conference and flower delivery in support of SB 301, the Pregnancy Reasonable Accommodation Act

Columbus, OH — On Wednesday, May 4th at 11:30 AM, Ohio senators, faith leaders, small business owners, and doctors will gather at Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square and urge lawmakers to support legislation that ends workplace discrimination against pregnant women.

In Ohio, it is still perfectly legal to deny pregnant women reasonable accommodations that let them work safely as they carry their child, but a prominent coalition of interfaith clergy and business leaders say no longer. It’s time for the state legislature to stand up for workers and families by providing reasonable, temporary accommodations for pregnant women with SB 301, the Pregnancy Reasonable Accommodation Act. No woman should ever have to choose between her job and her pregnancy.
