Pillars of the Movement

Live your faith

Pillars of the Movement are a community of Faith in Public Life supporters, inspired by Harry Belafonte and Martin Luther King Jr., who we have come to lean on for advice and spiritual support. Our Pillars are critical leaders in the social justice movement, sustaining FPL's core values with their visionary support ($25,000 or more annually; gifts typically range between $25,000 to $500,000). For more information, contact Adrianne Johnson at ajohnson@faithinpubliclife.org

Our Pillars are a diverse group of folks committed to putting their faith into action and investing in transformative social change – everyone from current and former CEOs of companies like John Deere and Rodel, Inc, to emergency medicine doctors and ordained pastors, to artists and philanthropists and the producer of a major syndicated TV show, among others. It’s an inspiring and eclectic group that is brought together by a collective desire to change the public conversation towards that of the common good.

Pillars have a unique opportunity to advise, sustain, and encourage FPL in our work and mission. Along with having access to a community of individuals across the country who have a shared desire to invest in the intersections of faith and justice, as a participant, you will receive:

  • Quarterly private briefings with FPL’s CEO and prominent national leaders

  • Yearly/bi-yearly lunch with theologians, prominent faith leaders and politicians

  • Rapid response email updates on FPL work
