On Monday, January 9th, a coalition of 200 interfaith clergy, moral leaders, and persons who will be impacted by the decisions of the U.S. Attorney General held a press conference on Capitol Hill, calling on Congress to reject the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions. Immediately afterward, these leaders marched to the offices of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to pray and to deliver a “Declaration of Moral Resistance” calling for the rejection of Sessions’ Nomination. Faith leaders also urged lawmakers to support cabinet appointees who will embrace a fair, inclusive and moral public policy agenda for the nation. (Photos courtesy of David Choy).
