Sister Simone Campbell, a Sister of Social Service since 1964, is the National Coordinator of NETWORK, a Catholic leader in the global movement for justice and peace. With offices in Washington DC, NETWORK educates, organizes and lobbies for economic and social transformation. Before coming to Washington, Simone was the executive director of JERICHO, an interfaith advocacy and education organization that acts in solidarity with those living on the economic margins in California. She also served as General Director of the Sisters of Social Service, a community of women religious in the U.S., Mexico, Taiwan and the Philippines. She is the founder of and former lead attorney for the Community Law Center in Oakland, California, and is a former social worker. Sr. Campbell frequently provides commentary to national television, radio and print media on a wide range of subjects.
