Rev. Stephen Copley is Senior Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas and chairman of “Give Arkansas a Raise Now" (GARN), an interfaith coaltion of churches and community groups that succeeded in getting a bill signed into law to raise the minimum wage by $1.10 in Arkansas in April 2006. GARN is an affiliate of the “Let Justice Roll" Living Wage Campaign, the national anti-poverty mobilization sponsored by the National Council of Churches and many other faith based and community based organizations. Rev. Copley also heads The Interfaith Alliance of Arkansas and serves on the board of Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. He earned his Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock School of Law.
