Pastor Rudolph W. McKissick Jr. is Senior Pastor of the 9,000-member Bethel Baptist Institutional Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. McKissick and his father, Dr. Rudolph McKissick, Sr. have developed a model ministry for partnering in the pastorate, as they both share as the Senior Pastors of the oldest Baptist church in the state. Dr. McKissick has distinguished himself as a national preacher and teacher, published writer and professional recording artist. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Inc., which strengthens the capacity of the African American faith community to address the social justice agenda in the Black church, and the Board of Advisors for The Black Church Resource Group, Inc. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Virginia Union University School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary. Dr. McKissick is frequently quoted in the Florida press on topics related to faith and politics in the state.
