As co-President of CrossWalk America, Rev. Dr. Eric Elnes is currently leading a 2,500 mile walk from Phoenix, Arizona to Washington, DC to promote compassion and inclusion, the core values of Christianity that CrossWalk feels are often overlooked in today’s divisive world. Crosswalk is expected to arrive in Washington, DC on Labor Day 2006. Rev. Elnes is a biblical scholar with a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary and the Senior Pastor of 300-member Scottsdale Congregational United Church of Christ in Scottsdale, Arizona. His church is internationally recognized for “The Studio� worship service – an innovative, multi-sensory, experiential service incorporating live jazz, dance, poetry, drama, multimedia and film. Rev. Elnes is also known for his “World’s Most Dangerous Bible Study,� which places the scriptures in conversation with popular music. He is the author of Igniting Worship: The Seven Deadly Sins and The Phoenix Affirmations: A New Vision for the Future of Christian Faith.
