Rabbi Arthur Waskow has been one of the leading creators of theory, practice, and institutions for the movement for Jewish renewal since 1969. He directs The Shalom Center, a prophetic voice in Jewish, multireligious, and American life to challenge the pharaohs of our generation and to seek peace, justice, compassion, and healing of the earth. Rabbi Waskow is also the author of many books, including most recently The Tent of Abraham: Stories of Peace and Hope for Jews, Christians, & Muslims (July 2006), which he co-wrote with Sister Joan Chittister and Murshid Saadi Shakur Chisti.
