K. Hollyn Hollman is General Counsel for the Baptist Joint Committee (BJC), a 70-year-old organization serving 14 Baptist denominations and conferences. The BJC works to further the Baptist heritage that champions the principle that religion must be freely exercised, neither advanced nor inhibited by government. She provides legal analysis on church-state issues that arise before Congress, the courts, and administrative agencies. Her work includes preparing friend-of-the-court submissions, presentations for research institutions and religious organizations, and issue briefings for congressional staff. She frequently appears in the media, including USA Today, The Washington Post, and CNN. She is a native of Jackson, Mississippi.
