Brian McLaren, named as one of the top 25 most influential evangelicals by Time magazine, is the founding pastor of Cedar Ridge Community Church, a nondenominational church in the Baltimore-Washington region. He is a popular speaker and guest lecturer and has written numerous books, most notably the A New Kind of Christian trilogy and the recent Generous Orthodoxy. He is currently on the international steering team and board of directors of Emergent, “a growing, generative friendship among mission Christian leaders,” and serves as a board member of Sojourners.
