Christianity is NOT progressive. Just because someone defends the teachings of Christianity does not make them hateful because there is no room for hate in Christianity. The truth cannot change and homosexual behavior is sinful. Anyone who says that it isn’t is using “revisionist Christianity” to come to their flawed conclusions.

For years, the FRC has used gay hate baiting to raise the public profile of its leaders for the SOLE purpose of them gaining huge paychecks through their ‘non-profit’ organizations.

By allowing them to submit their hate on the air, MSNBC downgrades its integrity and aids in these groups receiving more funds they use to live lavish lifestyles in the name of doing Christ’s work.

I realize you operate under this formula: more controversy equals more viewers equals more money from advertisers (C+V=M). I realize that you are a corporation and all you care about is making more money regardless whom you harm. So logically I am now boycotting all MSNBC/NBC programing until you stop your irresponsible behavior (H=B)!

Thank you, MSNBC, for getting that disgusting racist homophobe Pat Buchanan off your programs…but…what about the other homophobes you continue to let spew “their Christian” view of the world, especially when it comes to bigoted homophobia. I’m talking about FRC’s Tony Perkins and other of his ilk belonging to organizations identified by the SLC as “hate groups”. You can’t have it both ways: “no” to Buchanan but “yes” to Perkins (and his fellow homophobes). Please give airtime only to non-homophobic non-racist spokespeople going forward. YOUR audience will appreciate hearing the truth instead of lies and hate.

I liked this article, which I thought was fair and reasonable.

HOWEVER, I think your site needs a bit more editing and attention to grammar.

Specifically, if someone’s gonna write “MSNBC *is* in the news this week for announcing that *they* may finally be ending *their* contract with…”, either the verb should be ARE (as British usage does), or the “they”s should be “it”.

This is not an obscure point: check, for example, the AP standards for news writing. Thank you.

Perkins is a liar who misrepresents and distorts research on homosexuality. You should not give him credibility (see SPLC) since he is misleading not only your audience, but your own credibility. At the very least, balanced reporting required puting the opposite side on to be fail (and accurate). I will no longer watch MSNBC when you put any of these discredited a-holes on.
