		<description>Well, having known Tim Dolan for many decades, even before he became a priest, this statement is of no shock value.  He has always espoused a very conservative point of view combined with a minimal understanding of minorities.  His promotion to NYC was done to solidify conservative positions in the US, which, traditionally been very much the other end of the spectrum, especially in the civil rights era during which Tim and I grew up. (And, yes, I knew him well enough to call him by his first name.
