Thank you, Salvation Army. I have volunteered at your kettles a numbe of times in recent years, and frequently give to them. Your decision to withdraw ads from Mr. Limbaugh’s spiteful and fear-based program is good news. Hate does not need our financial support.

As an employee of The Salvation Army, who has always been proud to be associated with it, I am glad that that the Midlands division has done the right thing. Limbaugh hates the poor and underprivileged which is the part of society that we serve the most.

Knowing “The Army” as I do, the timing of the decision had less to do with pressure than the glacial pace of action that is typical for those of us who work under the red shield.

Slapping the hand the feeds you, huh, Salvation Army? It is a myth that Liberals are charitable givers. Although liberal families’ incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227). (Real Clear Politics provided these stats).

Rush Limbaugh’s audience is conservative, when this information gets out, I can only hope you feel the impact of a political decision like this, sucking up to progressives. Shameful.

I WILL NOT be donating anything else to the Salvation Army nor will I give money at Christmas time. Your obvious democrat bias will cost you as republicans donate far more to charities. It’s too bad that an otherwise good cause like yours is supporting a political party and one of their political pawn/operative Sandra Fluke.
