I have faith in public life: in public service, in the public good, in the coming together to work for a better now, a better tomorrow. And I bring my beliefs into everything I do. But I do NOT evangelize absolutist dogma: to do so is contemptible and bigoted.

Religion should be demonstrated and practiced in OUR LIVES. GOD has given us free will (choice)Why do you want to take that away? You CANNOT legislate Morals. Have you forgotten proihibition?? It did NOT WORK and will never work. What we certainly should do is preserve our personal right to worship as EACH person feels is right. If you try to take that away and make this whole nation Christian (I am a devout Christian) (you show a lack of faith in GOD! He is in charge and does not need your help!! and you become exactly like the Taliban and will destroy both our Democracy had our nation. Do you want for this country what Afghanistan and Iraq has had? The way to preserve our way of life and our religion is to protect our personal rights and freedom of religious worship and let God do the judging. And quit Trying to take away God’s given free choice.

  3. David Buckley says:

I think you may be mis-reading the stance on mixing of church and state both here and at most of the blogs listed on the left sidebar. Check out our resources page on the separation of Church and State. It’s of paramount importance that we preserve that separation, which has always protected religion in America. Anyhow, poke around this site and some of the blogs listed in the sidebar to see how to strike the balance between protecting religious freedom while allowing religion to inspire movements for the common good in American society.

GOD Has NOT(Repeat NOT) Given us so-called Freewill!

    Read your BIBLE!

1 ¶ Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
