America’s Next Top Faith Voice Nominees: Evan Davies

July 1, 2011, 2:19 pm | Posted by Dan Nejfelt

Faithful America is holding a competition to find America’s Next Top Faith Voice. We’ll be profiling our six finalists here on the blog. Candidates were asked to submit a video responding to this Karen Tumulty article on Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference last month. You can view all of the candidates and cast your vote here.

When Evan Davies began exploring his Christian faith in high school, he was bothered to find that the Jesus he knew from the Bible wasn’t the same one he heard preached about at his local church in Georgia. Evan’s journey led him to find a faith community that puts its beliefs into action both inside and outside the church walls.

Evan spent his last year living in Rwanda, where he saw firsthand the need to address the growing climate change crisis that is disproportionately affecting the developing world. The experience also inspired him to not stand by idly in the face of the injustices like economic inequality that plague his own country.

Vote for Evan here!
