July 1, 2011, 11:17 am | Posted by Nick Sementelli

Faithful America is holding a competition to find America’s Next Top Faith Voice. We’ll be profiling our six finalists here on the blog. Candidates were asked to submit a video responding to this Karen Tumulty article on Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference last month. You can view all of the candidates and cast your vote here.

Rev. Nicole Lamarche, CA

A former Miss California, Rev. Nicole Lamarche was ordained a ministe rin the United Church of Christ in 2005. Nicole sees her role as a minister as “constantly asking where God needs me to stand and with whom.”

Currently, Rev. Lamarche is working with Bay Area organizations that provide support for veterans returning from combat and dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She sees this issue as part of a larger challenge of defending the common good in the face of attacks on crucial safety net programs that help protect the most vulnerable.
