America’s Next Top Faith Voice Nominees: Noor Darwazeh

June 30, 2011, 3:32 pm | Posted by Nick Sementelli

Faithful America is holding a competition to find America’s Next Top Faith Voice. We’ll be profiling our six finalists here on the blog. Candidates were asked to submit a video responding to this Karen Tumulty article on Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference last month. You can view all of the candidates and cast your vote here.

Noor Darwazeh, TX

A Muslim in Texas, Noor Darwazeh is used to talking to people unfamiliar with her faith tradition. That’s why she was excited to join an interfaith, intercultural youth discussion group called “Yalla Talk” (Yalla meaning ‘let’s in informal Arabic) focused on finding common ground through conversation — a decision she regards as a turning point in her life.

She credits her faith with the work ethic, dedication and passion that have led her to continue finding ways to build bridges to combat fear.
